Herrington Country Park offers numerous event spaces, an amphitheatre and large areas that can be used for visitor parking.
The adaptable spaces within the park have been used for Radio 1’s Big Weekend, a number of music concerts, running and cycling events, community festivals and vehicle shows. Events have included the Sunderland Festival, Race for Life, the National Cross Country Championships, The BIG Bike Ride and the 2012 Olympic Torch Celebration.
Although public transport access is limited, Herrington Country Park is only minutes from the A19 with good accessibility.
Aside from the event spaces there is an adventure play area, skate boarding, Nordic walking, model boat sailing in the lake and a variety of sculptures that celebrate the heritage of the area.

Country park setting close to A19, with good road access and on-site parking (but with limited public transport) capable of hosting large scale events, festivals and concerts for up to 30,000.
The site is set up with a event space and amphitheatre.
Surface is predominantly grass with some hard standing. Some reinforced grass areas provide additional parking with remainder grass only.
There is no power onsite so generators are required.
